Orly In The Navy swatch

Hiyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa,

Sorry I've been away for so long, it's been a busy old few weeks. I'm currently house-hunting and have taken on some more responsibility at work, so nail painting and blogging has taken a back seat.

But I'm back and I have a beaut to share with you. This is Orly, In The Navy. It was one of the polishes the my fiancee bought for me for Christmas and I've already worn it several times. The polish almost seems to be lit within; do you see what I mean?

Lush!

The formula is thinner than I'm used to, I'm not sure if this is an Orly thing, but it dries relatively quickly. However it wears really well with no chipping after a long wear (my current business levels has led to me wearing polishes for 4 to 5 days - totally unheard of for me!) x x x

Orly Dazzle Swatch

Eurgh......such disappointment:(

This is one the lovely looking polishes my wonderful fiancee bought me for Christmas. I was so excited to use it because I so rarely wear silver and thought this would be a nice colour on me.

But the application.....eurgh! It was thin, streaky and slow to dry. This is 4 coats. You can see from the picture some dents on the tips; I thought it was dry, but no, no, no, don't be silly, I'd only given it 2 hours!

Clean up round my cuticles was also a total pain, the polish is full of micro-fine glitter which just streaks.....oh dear. On the plus side, it does suit me lol:)

Christmas haul!

Hey peeps, I'm back - Happy New Year!

I had a wonderful NYE, fiancee and I headed to Aachen, in Germany, with a few friends. We cooked lots of yummy food (cheese, meat, cheese, meat, meat and cheese combined, and pasta - carb heaven!) and then ate, drank, were merry and headed out at midnight to watch the city illuminated by beautiful fireworks - it was stunning (although the fire engines that zoomed past at regular intervals were a bit disconcerting:)

Anyhoo, I was lucky enough to be given some lovely gifts at Christmas, some by fiancee and some by......me lol:)

Left to right - Dazzle, In The Navy and Rage, all by Orly. These were gifts from my lovely fiancee:).................

...........and these were presents from me, to me! I was left unsupervised in Birmingham Airport for more than a few minutes and ended up with these cuties.

L to R; Bronze Medal, Fluffy, Silver Holo, Dollar, all by Claire's.

Excited to see that Claire's have enlarged their bottles and started naming their polishes - whoop whoop!

Swatches coming soon peeps x
