Barry M Indigo with silver studs!

I'm alive! I've been sooooo snowed with work, it's been almost a week since I posted, shocking!

Anyhoo, this is a little mani, from a few weeks ago, which I adore. Barry M by Indigo is one of my favourite colours EVER and the little studs just finish it off; I wore this to my very posh meal, and felt my nails fitted right in (unlike the rest of me lol)

The only thing I didn't like about this mani? The way my Sally Hansen totally FAILED and went on bubbly and lumpy; not impressed! Every time I get halfway through the bottle it just turns to gloop - boo, hiss!

Back soon peeps:)

Cupcake nails!

Hola amigas!

So I have to admit I was incredibly proud of these bad boys. I did them because I was keen to do a 'then and now' style comparison; then I realised I'd lost the 'then' photos lol:) C'est la vie!

So here's a now photo of cupcake nails.

A bit gutted that what I thought was a teeny tiny mistake was so visible, but hey, you win some, you lose some. Overall though - CHUFFED:)

Here are the polishes that made this manicure possible:) I used Nails Inc Elizabeth Street as a base and Barry M Strawberry Ice-Cream for the cakey goodness!

This is a quick close up of the rhinestones I used; £2.50 from New Look, a total bargain!

Intergalactic - Posh Polish Swatch

Happy Monday peeps:)

I've got a sparkler for you today - Intergalactic by Posh Polish. It's a clear based filled (and I do mean filled) with various glitters; large purple and green squares, large red hexes and medium and small hexes in various colours. It's amazing! I've put it over Barry M Blue Moon here, and think it looks great over pale colours. But it would look equally, if not even more, fab over black I suspect!

This is one coat - there's a lot of glitter in that little bottle!

Sooooooo much glitter.....drooooooooooooooool.....:)

Leopard print half 'n' half

I'm back!

Sorry for the hiatus, work has been manic all week and I've not had a minute free. On the plus side, I've spent this weekend with my favourite girlies, in sunny Devon, relaxing and having fun:)

I have a small back log of manicures to show you, so here's one from a few weeks ago I was really pleased with.

The pink is Pink Blush and the red is Red Alert, both by Models Own, both with excellent application and coverage.

I really liked how these look up close, but I think they would have been more eye-catching had I used a slightly paler pink, giving more contrast. However, it's leopard print, so you knows I loves 'em regardless lol:)

Pink, pink, PINK! Models Own Mirrorball Collection - Hot Stuff

Happy Monday!

Blah - back at stupid work, already want to go back on holiday lol:) Anyway, I have for you today the pinkest of pink polishes; Barry M Strawberry Ice Cream topped with Models Own hot Stuff.

So I have to be honest; I'm not a big fan of the Mirrorball polishes. They're just a bit.......meh.....for me. I don't know what it is. It doesn't help that the large shards of glitter stick out. And I find the glitter to dense, and it never goes what I want it..............blah! Just not for me.

The Barry M pink though.....LOVE IT! It's so cute and applies like butter. Perfect.

Only 4 days til the weekend, happy days lol!

Neon pink with blue holographic glitter bars by Claire's Accessories

Gooooooooooooood afternoon peeps. I hope you've had a marvellous weekend? I certainly have. Bf and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary last night with a very special treat; a 10 course starter menu at Purnells, a v. swanky restaurant in the centre of Brum. It was insanely good and included a course called 'emotions of cheese'; yes, it sounds pretentious, but I have to admit I felt very emotional when I ate it. In order, those emotions were

1) greed (I wish the portion size was bigger)
2) happiness (Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh it's sooooo cheesey)
3) sadness (Whhhhhhhhhhhhhhhy does it have to be over, I miss you so much cheesy goodness!)

Anyhoo, wine was consumed and so my nails today are very low key and easy because doing nail art might be a bit tricky! This manicure is simply a neon pink polish covered with an amazing blue holographic bar glitter - bright!

The pink polish is one I got free with a teen mag - it's everything you'd expect from a free polish; smelly, slow drying and streaky. But a blooming GREAT colour lol. The glitter is by Claire's and is brilliant, if a little tricky to apply. It required a lot of fishing and placing, but I think it's worth it.

I have previously ranted about Claire's polishes not being named BUT the lovely (and incredibly talented fellow nail blogger) Claire at Kerruticles recently informed me that the name of the polish appears on the receipt when you buy them. An odd thing to do really, I'd rather have it on the bottle, but at least now I know - thanks Claire.

Enjoy your week peeps, back soon x x x

Sinful Colours Haul and Rich in Heart Swatch

Holllaaaaaaaaaaaaa! So, what's better than a nail polish haul? A FREE nail polish haul, that's what! Panic not, I haven't been using a 5 fingered discount, instead I've been squireling away my Boots Advantage Points. So when I nipped in today and saw their 3 for 2 offer, I headed straight to their Sinful Colours Range.................

Mini haul! From left to right; Call Me Later, Kissy and Rich in Heart.

I rushed straight home to cover my little pinkies in their shiny polishy goodness. I don't have any dark browns in my collection, so the first I wanted to try was Rich at Heart. It's a chocolatey, mahogany  reddish-brown as you can see below.

It goes on beautifully, but I will say that the brush is AWFUL. Splayed, stray bits, somehow just wonky. So clean up was needed. But the colour.......oh, the colour. Stunning. Can't wait to swatch my other newbies!

Clothing my nails with Barry M Greenberry

Hi guys, hope you're having a great week?

I have to admit I found this design on Pinterest, you can look at the original tutorial by Kristene N  here - it's so cute, and she has some other amazing designs that are worth a look. I decided it was the perfect chance to use my new Barry M Gelly Greenberry.

So here is my version of Peter Pan collar nails.

I love this colour - as per the Gelly range by Barry M it's easy to apply, glides on smoothly and sooooo glossy and dries fast. Perfect for nail art. The gold and white are my ever-trustworthy nail pens by Models Own. I can't wait to try this design again with some other colours - maybe even a multi-coloured version!

Bourjois Adora-bleu with little fluffy cloud nail art:)

Have I got a cutie for you today! This little beaut is by Bourjois. Odd thing; I rarely see Bourjois polishes reviewed online in the nail community. I wonder why, given this little number:)

This is two coats of Adora-Bleu (I didn't get this to begin with - face palm - but once I did it made me smile) and it goes on like butter. Smooth, good long brush, quick drying, perfect coverage in two coats. Happiness is perfectly applied polish.

This colour is perfect for Spring (which, whisper it, don't scare it away, might be approaching the UK!)

I added the clouds with my new Models Own Nail Art pen - a good purchase, nice, easy application, good coverage.

Silver glitter with pastel leopard spots

Evening peeps, hope you've had a good Monday?

I've been looking through my polish today for those polishes that I think I've somehow overlooked. You know the ones; you needed it sooooooo bad, dreamt about it, finally got, and then....you swatched it quickly and filed it away. Sad face.

So, I now have several polishes lined up to be reused/re-imagined. One of these is Silver Multi Glitter by the ever brilliant Barry M. I've had this for months and I did do a quick swatch but it just didn't really 'get me' once it was on my nails.

However a quick bit of leopard printing.....

Ta dah!

I love the fact that it's silver but shot through with very fine red glitter, giving it a really 3D look. I really like how the contrast between the shimmery silver glitter makes the leopard prints look like they're floating above it somehow. In short, I know love this polish:)

The spots are Barry M Strawberry Ice Cream, Barry M Berry Ice Cream and Bourjois Adora-bleu - more on this polish later..........

Gratuitous Kitty Piccies Part 4

Never........drinking.......again........GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

So, I went out and raved, as my neon nails had put me in the mood to party. I drank. I now feel AWFUL.

But Boo has been cheering me up.......

Meanwhile Smoky has been desperate to be photographed, to the extent that he sat in my photobox!

Models Own Neon Ice Collection

Ok, you might need to get some sunnies guys, cos I'm rocking the Models Own Neon Ice collection and it is BRIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT! I'm talking 90's neon! From left to right, Luis Lemon, Pink Punch and Toxic Apple (I also treated myself to Pukka Purple, but it didn't fit in with my plan for today).

As with most neons, they're pretty sheer, so I layered them over white to make them pop! They dry very quickly and have a slightly rubbery texture, but a top coat sorts that easily (I'm all about the shine!)

I think these are some on my favourite polishes in terms of colour - they're unbelievable neon, in fact they're the first polishes I've put on and thought, "I need to tone these down a tad!" Hence I've made these truly rave-tastic.........

Uuuuh huuuh yeah, when I hold you baayayabeeeeeeeee, feel your heart beat close to me.......

Hope this love can last foreeeeveeeeeeeeer, oooooonly love can set you freeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

He he he, loving that these nails just make me want to dance to 90's dance anthems, in fact I'm off out tonight and will be requesting N-Trance in every club I visit! That's how these nails make me feel; happy and ravey lol!

Oh, and this is a photo of my mani with a highlighter - soooooooooooo neon!!!!

Have a great weekend peeps, and if you see a very tall girl with neon nails raving like a loon ...........come say hi. Or run in the opposite direction lol, it's not gonna be a pretty sight:)

Golden Triangles!

Goooooooooooooood morning peeps:) I have a raging hangover but feeling oddly chirpy.........possibly because my nails are AWESOME! I am so pleased with these, I might never take them off. Well, at least not for a day or two:)

The design isn't my own, I nabbed it from the amazing Whitney at Dressed Up Nails - if you don't already follow her, you need to, her designs are amazing and her pictures are stunning.

Anyhoo, my nails......

Ta dah!

The base colour is Barry M Lychee, one of their new Gellies. It's amazing, two coats and it was perfect. The gold triangles and black lines are my Models Own nail pens and the gold glitter is the spectacular Disco Heaven; the blue and green glitter scattered throughout it make it a step up form the standard gold glitter:)

Right, I'm going to make myself a very strong coffee.......................

Blue, red and pink glitter OR why Claire's Accessories should name their polishes!!!

Arggggh, why does it frustrate me so much when gorgeous polishes don't have names? Does the company not care? Do they not know that there are people who want to know enough about their product that they can go and buy it themselves easily? Do they not care about my OCD? Gah!

Whatevs - on to the good part; Claire's Accessories have made another (nameless) gorgeous glitter polish. It's a clear base with tiny silver bits of glitter and large red, pink and blue hexes.

This is one coat over Models Own In The Navy, which is just a brilliant name (hint, hint, Claire's!)
