Guess who's back? Back again!

Dear me, looking through so many of my blog posts, I do seem to be saying the same thing; I'm still here but not really er....here! That is, I'm a blogger who rarely blogs. Is this an oxymoron? Am I just a moron? Who knows?

What I do know is that this year has been INSANE! Everything came to a head in August; I got married (yay!), moved house (argh but mainly yay!), moved from the city to a new town (goodbye Birmingham, hello Leam!) and started a new job. Unsurprisingly, I had to postpone my blogging.

And then........I just never came back. Instead of painting my nails, I was breaking them....packing boxes, unpacking boxes, tidying, cleaning; my nails snapped but my house became cleaner and more and more of a home.

I must admit, there was a small part of me that also simply couldn't be bothered. And then another part of me that simply realised I has nothing to blog; my new job simply won't allow me to rock up wearing neon glittery leopard print nails:( It seems I'm not the only one either; The Crumpet (all hail the Crumpet) has recently written an excellent post about the reasons some of us simply quit blogging.

However, I missed blogging, I missed the sense of community. So I'm back - but with a few changes. I will still be blogging nails whenever I can, but a few other things will be cropping up to; crafts mainly, I've become a cross-stitching demon recently for some reason! But for today, I'll be sharing something very personal with you; my hatred of unpacking!

So, bearing in mind hubbie and I moved in our new home in August, I have been putting off unpacking big time! We're lucky enough to have a garage in our new house, so all of the below was just dumped in there. Out of sight, out of mind! This worked fantastically until hubbie decided to turn our garage into a gym. Having to hurdle over these was not what he had in mind and they made getting to the running machine tricky. It was time for drastic action!

Boo inspecting the assortment of 'stuff'.

So finally, today, I bit the bullet, and alongside some box loving kitties, I did what the books recommend; I ditched the clutter! My local charity shop will be loving me come Monday! 3 boxes to them, one to the tip and then.....

This is it! This is all that I actually needed/wanted out of all of that stuff. Neatly packed into one box. Amazing:) I couldn't have done it without the 'team' though....

A cat's box is its castle and thus must be defended!

Silver nails with neon bows

Ahhhh; the sun is shining, my nails are shining (current glitter mani!) and I have a small (promise) glass of wine in my hand as I sit outside reading:) Bliss.

This manicure is one from a few weeks back that I forgot to post; I'm getting scatty peeps, or maybe it's all this wine in the sunshine?

Anyways, here it is......

I only have 3 polishes that I've almost finished; Barry M Berry Ice Cream (the perfect Lilac), Accessorize Electric Purple (it's a bright purple, need I explain more?) and this; Silver Multi Glitter by Barry M. It's just perfect; silver glitter with teeny tiny adorable specks of red glitter, so dense it covers in three coats and just stunning!!!

I'm off back to my wine.......wait, it's almost empty! I'm going to blame Boo the cat, it couldn't possibly have been me lol.

Gratuitous Kitty Piccies Part 4

Never........drinking.......again........GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

So, I went out and raved, as my neon nails had put me in the mood to party. I drank. I now feel AWFUL.

But Boo has been cheering me up.......

Meanwhile Smoky has been desperate to be photographed, to the extent that he sat in my photobox!

Bits and bobs, and the worst polish EVER!

Urghhh, I'm hanging, went out last night and drank a little bit too much. Which would have been fine if I'd then been able to sleep, eat carbs and nap throughout the day whilst watching crappy TV, but sadly I was forced by bf to go to his niece's Christening, which was jam packed full of wailing babies and screeching toddlers. Urgh. It was a bucket of cold water over my ovaries, I can tell you!

Anyway, enough whining, looking through my photos I realised that I has several random swatches that I hadn't posted, so here's a few of those bad boys for your viewing pleasure.

This lovely duck egg blue is part of an Accessorize multi pack on sale in Superdrug. This was the one that convinced me to be honest, there were some nice pinks on the pack as well (9 polishes altogether) and some nice looking glitters, but this sold it to me. Considering the tiny size of the bottle, the brush was fine and the quality was the normal Accessorize quality. This is two coats, tbh it probably needed 3, but I really loved this colour. Think it will be more of a summer polish, but couldn't resist trying:) Boo seemed to like it too!

This was another polish from the multi pack. It is EVIL! It looked so promising, full of small and large pieces of green glitter. There I was thinking, brill, another Christmassy polish to keep December sparkly and shiny. So I popped it on for a sneak preview......argh! Good grief, it was dreadful. It clumped, the brush was dreadful and removing it..............................I'm still trying to removed green glitter from my cuticles:( Awful.

Thankfully this is a very good polish. I'm actually in love with this polish. I only bought it as part of a 3 for 2 offer in Boots, it caught my eye and tbh I wasn't sure at first. I liked it, but I thought it might be a bit old ladyish, or one of those dreadful sheer things that need 453 coats just to get a bit of coverage. But once it was on my nails - love at first sight. This is only two coats, it's a really gorgeous colour and I feel it will be featuring regularly on my nails. It's my first Max Factor polish  but after this I'll be keeping an eye on their new colours.

And this is just a flipping cute photo. Monty (left) and Boo (right) posing for a photo:)
