Hello Kitty Respect with silver studs

Whoop whoop - it's finally Friday peeps!

Happy face:)

I'm especially happy today because I've been wearing the same manicure for almost a week and it still looks amazing; therefore, my new topcoat has proven it's stripes and will henceforth be renamed 'flipping amazeballs topcoat, booyah!' - lol:)

The mani it was protecting so wonderfully is a very simple one; Hello Kitty Respect (a stunning royal blue with a lovely shimmer) with silver studs.

Excuse the dreadful photos; Smoky climbed all over my light box earlier and knocked off one of my lamps! Toe-rag! But such a cute one....

So chuffed - btw, the amazing topcoat is Sally Hansen Diamond Shine - oooooh I love it!

Loreal Confetti over Bourjois Adora-Bleu

Hey hey! I hope you've had a great day and that it's sunny where you are. It's been stunning here, just hot enough to shrug off my cardigan and lie in the sun, but not so hot that all I wanted to do was cat nap lol:)

My pictures today feature a polish that I search high and low for; London, Edinburgh, Birmingham....nothing! Then, on a quick trip home to Weston-super-Mare to see my parents, I found it! I was so excited, I almost bought 2 bottles, but managed to check myself:) So may I present Loreal Confetti!

I got so many compliments about this manicure; on a shopping trip into Brum, 3 shop assistants grabbed my hand and squealed! (not at the same time obvs, that would have been creepy rather than flattering!). It certainly it a gorgeous combo, it made me think of a speckled duck egg:)

The Confetti is lush; small and large black and white matt hex glitter, with a small amount of shimmery glitter, so tiny as to just give a subtle shimmer. Stunning. I have almost all of my polishes lined up to be worn under this polish:)

Enjoy the rest of your bank holiday weekend peeps, I'm off to the cinema with my lovely bf to watch Iron Man - geetktastic:)

Swatch - Sally Hansen Gem Crush - Big Money

I'm going to make an odd confession - I fell in love with the shape of the bottle before the colour of the polish:) This was another Edinburgh find and was staring at me as I walked in the shop.

I love the combination of gold and lilac, it's so subtle yet so striking. It's incredibly dense - this is three coats, and there's no VNL (always important to moi!) so I'm happy. The gold glitter is very fine so the lilac hexes mix and intersperse well, meaning you don't get clumps of purple.

Oddly, this is a subtle polish - the lilac needs to be seen up close really, but gives a pinky glow to the polish from afar, very pretty. Enjoy the rest of your week peeps x x x

February haul - sparkly!

Hello peeps, hope you're enjoying your weekend?

I had a brilliant day yesterday, I spent almost all of it in Birmingham buying polishes. I literally went only to shops that stocked polishes; Topshop, Boots, Claire's, Superdrug, Accessorize....it was bliss. And, without bf with me, I was free to relax and enjoy my splurge.

My new plan has been to only buy polishes that scream at me. You know the ones, they catch your eye and you know you have to have it, it has that special something. All of these polishes had that something for me. So, behold; my February haul:)

Sally Hansen No Chip Topcoat, Claire's Cosmetic polishes (no names, argh!), Barry M Gold Glitter.

 L to R - Accessorize Magic, Topshop Plume, 2True Shade 5, 2True Shade 3.

Nail Pop Kimono, Nail Pop Glam Rock, GOSH Galaxy.

It's so much fun when you find those polishes that make your heart beat faster - and yes, I think anyone who saw me shopping yesterday would have thought I was MAD, grinning like a cheshire cat, squealing, drooling etc etc.

I need to draw your attention to one polish in particular - 2True Shade 3. It's a limited edition from  their glitterari collection. All I can say is I think you're going to need this polish in your life - swatches coming up tomorrow so you can decide for yourself. But the second I clutched this polish in my sweaty hands, it went into my top 10! Loooooooooooooove:)

Striping tape + glitter = gorgeousness!

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek I'm so pleased with this manicure! I saw the amazing manicure at Dressed Up Nails which inspired me to use the striping tape that has been languishing at the bottom of my box'o'polish (to be featured in all it's gloriousness soon) and knew that my new Models Own polishes would work perfectly together.

I used MO Gold Rush as a base, which is a lovely yellowy/slightly glittery gold which is perfect in 2 coats and dries nice and quickly. I then stuck on the tape (which took foreeeeeeeeeeeeeeever) and painted over using MO In the Navy, an (almost) one coat wonder. I also used In the Navy on my pinkies, and then painted a layer of MO Disco Heaven over the top. My middle finger is finished of with MO Disco Heaven and Barry M Yellow Topaz Glitter, which showed it's wonderfulness over In the Navy. Happy nail days:)

May I add that Disco Heaven is indeed a truly heavenly polish! Easy distribution of glitter, tiny gold flecks with bluey-greeny-tealy pieces of glitter in as well, which catch beautifully in the sunlight.

Ps - I've started using Sally Hansen Hard as Nails as my topcaot and I love it. It's so shiny and thick. If you look closely on my ring finger, you can almost make out me holding my camera and taking the photos! Crazy shiny:)
