Nicole O.P.I - Be Awesome

Never has a polish's name been so apt - behold, awesomeness in a bottle..............

You might be able to see the bubbles on my pinkie - for that one I tried simply painting this polish on, which quite frankly just didn't work. So in the end I used a cocktail stick to place these on individually (I had work to do, it was the perfect procrastination device!) It took a while but it was worth it!

I'll definitely be trying this over some other colours - this is over Grey Matter by Rimmel - I think black or white would look stunning with this.

Did I Tell You - there's going to be Sunshine!

Hey guys, this is another glitter-tastic baby from my recent haul.

This is the lovely Did I Tell You by H&M - my goodness, they're selling some stunners at the moment. I painted it (easily, no placing, good smooth application) over one of my older polishes, Sunshine by Rimmel.

Ps - this is a scheduled post, so please don't be offended if I don't reply to any comments.

Rimmel Precious Stone Collection - Diamond Dust Swatch

I totally ignored this polish, until I saw the most gorgeous swatch by Alexis at Glittertips. She really brought it to life, so it founds its way until my collection, and I'm happy it did!

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep it's so pretty! This is three coats over a coat of unnamed grey (just to avoid VPL). It's a silver grey glitter, filled with larger pieces of holographic glitter. It has a very textured feel and doesn't really *pop* until you add topcaot. And then.......oooh it's magpie-tastic! Thank you Alexis, without your gorgeous blog I wouldn't have this sparklyness in my life.

Grey and purple stripy-ness!

Ahhhhh, I love it when a plan comes together! I decided to simply pick two of my favourite polishes and go where the mood took me; this is the result:)

The above are my current favourite polishes; Rimmel Grey Matter and Accessorize Electric Purple. Both give a dense, full colour, ideal for this manicure. I painted the stripes over with my fantabulous Models Own nail pen.

Purple Tribal Nails!

Hey guys, I'm back! Apologies for the long absence (5 days, I know, but it feels like it's been ages!). Work has been insane, so I've barely had time to paint my nails, let alone blog! In fact, I wore a manicure for a whole 4 days this week - unheard of in my world:)

Anyhoo, here is another tribal mani - I just love the way it forces you to pick interesting colour combos and paint carefully:) So here it is.......

I used Barry M Prickly Pear for the base, and then layered Accessorize Electric Purple (one of my favourite polishes ever) and Rimmel Grey Matter over it. I used my Models Own black art pen for the lines.

I'll be back soon peeps, promise, I just may not be able to post every day, probably going to have to be every other day. Work's only going to get more hectic.............sob!

Blue and grey tribal nail art feat H&M Blue My Mind

Hi de hi peeps,

Thanks so much to so many of you for your lovely words about Monty and Smoky, much appreciated, and one of the reasons I love blogging; you guys:)

Anyhoo, enough soppy stuff lol - here is my favourite manicure of ALL TIME!!! I was feeling the urge to do something intricate again and remembered how much I enjoyed designing and rocking tribal nails last summer. I was also desperate to use my newest polish, Blue My Mind from H&M, so here we go..........

I used H&M Blue My Mind as a base (swatch coming soon) and then used striping tape and some free handing to add details using Rimmel Grey Matter, Barry M Raspberry and Gold Foil Effects and my Models Own Black nail art pen.

Rimmel Grey Matter + Urban Outfitters Studio 54 = clever glitter!

Happy Tuesday peeps!

As promised here is a lovely view of my newest glitter, Studio 54 by Urban Outfitters. It's a gorgeous glitter topper, chock full of large pink, red, gold, green and silver hexes mixed with multi coloured fine glitter, all residing in a clear base.

Sooooooooooooooooooooooooo glittery:)

This is my first Urban Outfitter polish, but I don't think it will be my last. It was easy to apply, had a good drying time, didn't clump and didn't require me to fish around for the bigger bits. This is one coat with a few bigger bits dotted on to even things out a bit.

It didn't take me long to choose a partner for it, I've been waiting to use my Grey Matter by Rimmel for ages. Now I have to admit I'm not a massive fan of Rimmel polishes (a few bad chippy, peely, bobbly experiences in the past) but this polish is fab-u-lous! The colour is so cute, and it goes on like a dream; good in two coats and dries quick. So here it is own its own in its natural glory (two coats, no topcoat).

Enjoy the rest of your day peeps:)
