Red glitter gradient

So, I seem to be a bit fixed on red at the moment; this has been my weekend manicure, and I've LOVED it! I've been trying to use an unused glitter from Claire's for ages but just couldn't think what to do with it......then inspirations struck!

I don't know the name of the Claire's glitter, but it's  red glitter hexes in a clear polish.

I layered Barry M Red Glitter over Models Own In the Navy, then added the large red glitter.

Love this....I really must do more glitter gradients!

Rockin' around the Christmas Tree!

Aaaaaah finally - Christmas nails that I'm really pleased with:) Behold.......the world's easiest Christmas tree mani!

These were seriously easy; a coat of Barry M Silver Effect, then Barry M Racing Green to make the tree. Dotted with unnamed red, stick on a rhinestone, et voila! Christmas tree nails:)

On my thumb and pinkie I used a beautiful polish by Nails Inc, called Edinburgh Gate. It's a clear base filled to the rafters with red, silver, teal and green glitter. I have to say it's probably the hardest glitter I've ever tried to do a graidient with, it clumps dreadfully, so my nails were pretty bumpy after this. But is the most Christmassy polish I have (hence I've had it in my collection for months, but have never used it before).

Anyhoo, hope you're enjoying yourself this weekend peeps, only 10 days to go!

Pink and grey and all sorts of glittery!

So, the new Barry M polishes made me buy them, and I had to find a a manicure to do where I could use as many of them as possible to show them off! Managed to get 2 into this manicure:)

This is a close up of Pink Sapphire Glitter over Barry M Grey. It is a party in a bottle. It's not very clear from my (crappy) pictures, but it consists of tiny flecks of pink glitter, large pink and holographic hexagons and holographic strips. It's amazeballs!
You can see it slightly better here, it really catches the light beautifully, and got lots of attention today. It goes on pretty easily, although as with most glitter it's a better effect if you place some of the glitter yourself.
On my ring finger I used Barry M foil effects, and bright pink for the leopard patches. Over the other nails I layered Pink Iridescent, a gorgeous multi coloured sparkle in a pale pink jelly. I LOVE it, it will go over anything and make it sparkly.

Shiny glitter gradient!

Howdy peeps. Hope you're all having a lovely weekend. I had a lovely family daytrip to Bath yesterday, and spent a very long time in fancy shops that made me wish I could quickly flog a kidney and afford some nice things! Anyway, I did go to Waterstones and bought far too many books and also an insane amount of stickers from the world's greatest shop, Paperchase. I love somewhere where I can buy pointless but cute stickers, adorable pencils etc. I don't think I'll ever get over my love of stationary! Anyway, back to nails....

I've been rocking this manicure for several days now, and I love it! I knew that Coralicious and Molten Copper (from my Accessorize haul)  were born to be together. I haven't tried a glitter gradient before, so I decided this was it. And....I kind of love it. It certainly wasn't perfect, as it was done late at night, but I feel it worked. It sort of reminds me of fire, which then got me thinking about Game of Thrones and missing it.....but that's my other geekiness coming through. Anyway, what d'ya reckon?

Gradient/Leopard

May I present.....(drum roll please)......my first gradients!!!!! I'm so pleased:) I've been putting it off for ages due to the mess/worry about getting it wrong etc. But, I managed it and I'm so happy with the results. I couldn't decide which colours I wanted to use, so I did different colours on each hand. I decided to pull it together by adding gold and black leopard print (because I'm a magpie, and I live shiny, sparkly gold).

I used Barry M Mint Green, Berry Ice Cream, Peach Melba, Blueberry Ice Cream, Gold Foil Effects, and my beloved black Nail Art pen.
