Models Own / Dog's Trust - 24 Carot Gold

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

To celebrate the start of 2015, I'm wearing the brightest, most cheerful shade known to man - a polish that makes me smile like a Cheshire cat (or should that be dog?). I won this polish in a giveaway by Emma from emslittlecorner and loved it, but for some reason I never posted pictures!

So here it is, sunglasses at the ready.....

And then I decided to jazz things up a bit........leopard print, the first one of the year (knowing me, there's much more to come!)

Btw, if you're a Dog's Trust fan, check them out here; how could you not love those adorable faces? I'm campaigning hard with hubby to let me get one, but he keeps reminding me that our two kitties might not like a dog in the house......

.....and i wouldn't want to upset this little cutie, would I?

Hen do nails!

Ok, a tiny post today guys, but I really wanted to show you the photos of my hen do nails. The theme of my hen do was neon (inspired by a visit to a very club-tastic club I went to with one of my besties years ago in Prague) and so clearly, I needed neon nails:) I think I nailed it (ahem, scuse the dreadful punning).

These are all from the Models Own Neon Ice collection, painted over a white base to make them NEON! I thought they were a bit tame on their own though, so added glittery leopard print. I think they are the tackiest/most amazing nails I have ever had lol.

Eeeeeep, only 9 weeks now til the wedding, so excited:)

Black and gold skittle

Ahhh, there are times when  you need leopard print and glitter - I needed it to get me through a tough week last week, so I created this little beauty.

I love it - the black is Betty Jackson black, lovely and glossy, like tar..........or marmite. Let's go with marmite, sounds more delicious:) The gold is Models Own Gold Rush and the glitter is Models Own Ibiza Mix - a total stunner, gold and blue and green glitter mixed together to form actual happiness in a bottle:)

Have a good evening peeps, I'm off to eat home made chow mein in a late attempt to celebrate Chinese New Year! Nommmmmmmmmy:)

Purple Leopard Print

It's Friday, it's Friday, it's Friday, it's Friday, it's Friday, it's Friday, it's Friday, it's Friday, it's Friday, it's Friday, it's Friday, it's Friday, it's Friday, it's Friday, .......................etc.

As this scheduled post posts, I shall be pouring a bottle of wine, unwrapping some Ferrero Rocher and snuggling on the sofa with my wonderful fiancee. Happiness is a tipsy Friday night.

These leopard print beauties are the last of the 'oldies' stored on my computer; from now on, it's Christmas manicure time!

Pink and gold glitter leopard print

ROAR.............or maybe miow is more appropriate?

This is the lovely Models Own Utopia maxed up with some leopard print; I used Models Own Bora Bora for the gold glitter and my fave nail art black pen to create the brackets and c shapes. Easy peasy. Perfect nail art for a week day night:)

Pink and silver leopard print madness!

Wow, the weather today is AMAZING! I've been chillin' all day (apart from a brief, but epic, gym session!) and and now relaxing indoors watching Star Wars. Happiness is drooling over Han Solo. Swoooooooon.

Anyway, I'm still on my mission to clear out the old piccies from my computer, so here is a mash up of pink and silver and glitter and leopard print; basically, most of my fave things combined:)

Gaaaaah - smudges on the leopard print! But still, a great combo I think:)

The pink base is an unnamed polish by Accessorize, it came part of a multi-pack, it's a gorgeous colour. The pink glitter is Bling by Nail Pop and the silver is Barry M Silver Multi Glitter - one of the best polishes EVER!!!!!

I hope you're all enjoying the sun, I'm off for a small glass of wine in front of Star Wars:)

Neon pink leopard print - Heeeeells yeah!

Whoop whoop - spent the weekend with one of my fave girlies doing VERY girly things; specifically tiara shopping! Yes! I felt like a princess, so much glitter and sparkle. Sadly, the tiara was for my lovely friend, not me, but I still had lots of fun.

Knowing it was going to be an awesome weekend, I decided that I needed some awesome nails; what better than neon leopard print:)

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep!

I did a base layer of Barry M White before painting on the Models Own Ice Neon Bubblegum. Soooooooooooooo pink - these pictures just don't do it justice. Then I used Barry M Cyan Blue for the leopard dots and then added the details with my veeeeeeeeeeeeeeery ooooooooold nail art pen. Sunglasses at the ready!

On other exciting news, this weekend, I managed to make 50% of my meal noodle-based! Oh yeah:)

Leopard print half 'n' half

I'm back!

Sorry for the hiatus, work has been manic all week and I've not had a minute free. On the plus side, I've spent this weekend with my favourite girlies, in sunny Devon, relaxing and having fun:)

I have a small back log of manicures to show you, so here's one from a few weeks ago I was really pleased with.

The pink is Pink Blush and the red is Red Alert, both by Models Own, both with excellent application and coverage.

I really liked how these look up close, but I think they would have been more eye-catching had I used a slightly paler pink, giving more contrast. However, it's leopard print, so you knows I loves 'em regardless lol:)

Silver glitter with pastel leopard spots

Evening peeps, hope you've had a good Monday?

I've been looking through my polish today for those polishes that I think I've somehow overlooked. You know the ones; you needed it sooooooo bad, dreamt about it, finally got, and then....you swatched it quickly and filed it away. Sad face.

So, I now have several polishes lined up to be reused/re-imagined. One of these is Silver Multi Glitter by the ever brilliant Barry M. I've had this for months and I did do a quick swatch but it just didn't really 'get me' once it was on my nails.

However a quick bit of leopard printing.....

Silver-glitter-Barry-M-leopard-print-nail-artSilver-glitter-Barry-M-leopard-print-nail-art

Ta dah!

I love the fact that it's silver but shot through with very fine red glitter, giving it a really 3D look. I really like how the contrast between the shimmery silver glitter makes the leopard prints look like they're floating above it somehow. In short, I know love this polish:)

The spots are Barry M Strawberry Ice Cream, Barry M Berry Ice Cream and Bourjois Adora-bleu - more on this polish later..........

Pink and gold leopard print mash up

Happy Easter peeps:) I hope you've been enjoying lots of chocolaty eggs and time with your family. I have:) I'm not a big Easter person, so didn't bother doing any special Easter nails, instead I went with my traditional favourite mani - leopard print! Honestly, I'd do it everyday if I could. So here it is...........again:)

The gorgeous pink is Elizabeth Street by Nails Inc. I got it free with Glamour magazine a while ago, thought "oooh that's pretty" and then ignored it! I'm so glad I stumbled across it again the other day, it's beyond amazing - delicate and sugary, like a yummy sugared almond.

The glitter is Barry M gold Glitter, a total star.

Have a brilliant Easter Monday guys x

Nude and gold leopard print manicure

Ooooooooh my gosh I'm tired. This week has been beyond insane, and the weekend isn't going to be much better methinks. On that note, apologies for my absence.

I did get one chance to paint my nails this week, and as I only had an hour, I needed to do something that I knew I could do with no messing up - leopard print:) I decided to go for my favourite colour scheme: black, nude and gold:) Sadly, I only managed to get one non-blurry photo (maybe my camera is having a bad week too?), but here is that special one lol:)

Ah leopard print, how I love thee:) Simple yet effective, always a winner. I hope you have a great weekend peeps, I'll be back soon I promise x
